Pinova & Arakawa Form Alliance to Expand PINECRYSTAL Rosin Resins in US Market

Ms. Jodie Morgan, President & General Manager of Pinova, Inc. and Mr. Shozo Tanioku, President of Arakawa Chemical Industries, Ltd., announced the signing of a sales agency agreement between Pinova and Arakawa Chemical (USA) Inc., Arakawa’s wholly owned subsidiary, for PINECRYSTAL rosin resins in the US market.

Arakawa is a leading supplier of high-quality differentiated chemical products made from the natural resins of pine trees and is recognized as a global technology leader in this area. Pinova is one of the world’s largest specialty resin producers and is the only producer of wood rosin-based resins, made from renewable pine stump wood. This sales agency agreement represents a strategic alliance between two world renowned specialty rosin resin producers and combines the strengths of the technology leaders for highly hydrogenated rosin resins.

PINECRYSTAL is a unique series of highly functional and colorless rosin derivatives. The PINECRYSTAL products are specifically designed to meet the exacting performance requirements of UV curable, hot melt and pressure-sensitive adhesives for medical, electronic and automotive applications as well as for soldering fluxes and special printing inks.

The agreement further diversifies Pinova’s broad offering of premium performance rosin and polyterpene resins as well as complements Pinova’s rich heritage of delivering innovative solutions for challenging customer and market needs.
